Darrell K. Massingale, 53, of Athens, TN, passed away, Friday, July 19, 2013 at Woods Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late John Wesley and Bertie Edna Massingale and a member of Stephensville Baptist Church.Darrell loved reading his Bible; he loved his family and his church family with all hisheart. Preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, James Wesley Massingale; 2 sisters, Alice Call and baby sister, Joyce Althea Massingale.Survivors include 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Freddie Allan Massingale of Athens, Ronnie and Marilyn Massingale of Polk County; 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Billy Park of Tennga, GA, Carolyn Massingale of Athens. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Stephensville Baptist Church with Rev. James Morgan and Rev. Billy Burton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble Monday, July 22nd at Wesleyanna United Methodist Church Cemetery for the 10:00 a.m., committal service. Jerry Morgan, William Morgan, Jim Spaaosky, Lesley Roberts, Scott Roberts, Jeff and Josh Call will serve as pallbearers.
