David Andrew Davis, 28 of Athens, TN passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Lorene Key; aunt and uncle, Ronnie and Trish Davis.

David was an avid bowler and a UT Vol fan for life. He loved country music and knew every word to every song and he would sing to you whether you wanted him to or not. He could tell you every word to every movie he ever watched. He had a laugh that would light up the world. David never met a stranger and was loved by all. He loved to entertain others in order to see them smile; David had many families which included his immediate family, his church family, his bowling family and his TVA family. He will be forever missed but never forgotten. David was a member of Wildwood Baptist church.

Survivors include his parents, Richard and Gail Davis; brother, Dustin Davis; very special niece, Faith Marie Davis; grandparents, Boyd and Wilma Davis; uncles and aunts, Rusty and Kim Davis, Robbie and Tanya Davis, Johnny and Judy Jenkins, Dexter and Karen Key, Harold and Jane Kilpatrick, Lynn and Jean Swafford, David and Kelly Key; and several special cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2017 at Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Vest and Pastor Zack Davis officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., Saturday and proceed to Wildwood Cemetery for the 10:00 a.m. committal service. Steven Adler, Travis Hill, Kyle Dunn, Greg Kilpatrick, Bart Jenkins and Caleb Swafford will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Hill and Cody Dunn.
