David L. Massingale, 84 of Etowah, TN passed away Monday, August 28, 2017. He was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church and served as a Deacon Emeritus; he also served as a Shriner, Mason and Gideon. He was a son of the late Charles and Ollie Massingale.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister, JoAnna Dills; and beloved granddaughter, Kelli Knight.

Survivors include his wife, Shelby Smith Massingale of Etowah; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jackie Knight of Englewood; aunt, Phyllis Pack; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Wade officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., Thursday and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 10:00 a.m. committal service.
