A native of Monroe County, he was a son of the late Arthur Brown and Josie Lankford Webb. He was a deacon of Springtown Baptist Church since 1978. He was retired from TVA, and was a former captain of Station 4 West Polk Fire and Rescue. He was preceded in death byfour brothers, Clyde, Charles, Kenneth and John Webb.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Clara Nell Webb of Reliance; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia Rose and husband Terry, and Jenny Taylor and husband Roy, all of Reliance; four grandchildren and spouses, Terry "Donnie" and Amanda Rose, James and Audra Rose, Tonya and Calvin Locke and Justin and Candace Taylor; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kitty Lou Eller and Annie Snyder, both of Tellico Plains; two brothers, Gene Webb and Bob Webb, both of Tellico Plain; and one sister-in-law, Edith Webb of Cleveland.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2010 in the South Chapel with the Rev. Terry Daniels officiating. Burial will follow the service at Morgan Cemetery in Springtown. Member of Station 4 West Polk Fire and Rescue will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6th at the funeral home.
