David L. Young, 52, of Benton, died Friday, May 7, 2010 at his residence. A son of the late Clark and Agnes Bates Young, he was a native of Athens, resident of McMinn County for most of his life, and a resident of Polk County for the past 3 years. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Bledsoe; and one brother, Doug Young. Survivors include two sons, David Allan Young and Logan Andrew Young, both of Delano; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Suzette Young, and Ronald and Jana Young, all of Etowah; and one sister and brother-in-law, Deborah Lynn and Don McWilliams of Dayton. Family and friends will assemble at New Bethel Cemetery at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 for graveside service with Dennis Bordwine officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 11th in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
