Dean Griffey, 60, of Etowah, TN passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Dean was born to Ralph and Bonnie Griffey in Muncie Indiana on February 3, 1964. He was raised in the Modoc area and attended Union School District. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing basketball and golfing. Dean loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Griffey; brother, Glenn Griffey; paternal grandmother, Ruby Slaven; maternal grandparents, Homer and Florence Heflin; brother-in-law, Gerald Phelps.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Bridgett and Glenn Elwood "Blues"; grandchildren, Tony Griffey, CJ Matthews, Dee Matthews; mother, Bonnie Griffey; sister, Tina Griffey Phelps; brother, Tom Griffey; bonus grandchildren, Abby, Autumn, DJ, Bella, Macy; several nieces and nephews.

No formal services will be held.
