Dean Lamar Underwood, 57, of Etowah, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at his residence. Born April 18, 1954, he was employed with Mayfield Dairy Farms and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. A native of Lagrange, Ill., he was a resident of McMinn County for most of his life. He was of Baptist faith and was a son of the late Jack and Pearl Underwood. Survivors include his wife, Patti Underwood of Etowah; two sons, D.J. Underwood of Etowah, and Dustin Underwood of Hawaii; one sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Charlie Bernhart of Etowah; and two nieces, Allison and Natalie Bernhart, both of Etowah. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
