Delia Rachel Moses, 71, of Englewood, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Born Nov. 25, 1939, in Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late James and Vera Land Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Richard Curtis Moses; and two sisters, Ruth Mitchell and Joyce Clemmer, formerly of Englewood. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Misty Joines of Tellico Plains, and Richard and Tina Moses of Cleveland; three daughters, Gloria Casteel of Decatur, and Pam Jordan and Lesa Moses, both of Etowah; three sisters, Brenda Cochran of Englewood, Bonnie Clark of Madisonville, and Ruby Hough of Boca Raton, Fla.; grandchildren and their spouses, Chad and Amber Casteel of Decatur, Briley and Addison Joines and Hayley Day, all of Tellico Plains, Gabby and Curtis Jordan of Etowah, Travis Moses of Cleveland, Richard and Chastity Moses of Pikeville, Ky., and Josh and Jonte Moses of Englewood; great-grandchildren, Callie Moses, Tessa Swafford and Olivia and Curtis Moses; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Mickey Payne and Pastor Van Sliger officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday and will proceed to Cochran Cemetery for the 11 a.m. burial. Pallbearers will be three grandsons, Chad Casteel and Josh and Travis Moses, and three nephews, Keith and Brad Moses and Chris Cochran. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard, Ronnie, Troy, Darrell and Carl Moses, Claude Cochran and Jack Walker. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
