Delia McNary Lee Watts, 91, of Englewood, TN passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019.
Born in Johnson City, TN, she graduated from Science Hill High School and ETSU, where she met her future husband, Doug Watts to whom she was married 58 years until his death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Gammon and Maude Lee; her sister, Dorothy Torbett and her brother, Everett Lee.
Upon graduation from ETSU, she accepted a position at Englewood High School where she taught until Central High School opened and became one of the original faculty members there. She loved her years teaching and the many students and faculty friends she met throughout that time.
She enjoyed her family, antiquing with friends, laughing, quilting and life in general; she was an active member of First Baptist Church in Englewood, TN as long as her health permitted, and she especially enjoyed the Sunshine Club Quilters Group.
Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob Watts and Carol Green, Brad Watts and Myra; grandchildren, Nathan Watts and wife, Amanda, and Douglas Watts; great-grandchildren, Tucker Swafford and Reagan Watts; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Russ Maples and Bob Watts officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Campground Cemetery in Monroe County.
