Denver Patterson, 56, of Niota, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Frank B. Patterson and Hazel Patterson. He was a well-known auto mechanic and last worked with Dwight Bivens at AAA Motors on Hwy. 68. .He was preceded in death by his father, listed above.

Survivors include his mother, Hazel Patterson of Niota, TN; one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Glenda Stephens of Niota, TN; two sister and brother-in-law, Betty Earle of Silver Creek, GA and Mary and Wayne Massey of Madisonville, TN; three nephews, Frank Stephens, Jeremy Watson and Dusty Frye; and one niece, Amanda Massey.

Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the South Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 28th for the committal service. Robert Lowry, Jimmy McCosh, Tim Wagner, Tim Crowder, Dwight Bivens and Duke Hyatt will serve as pallbearers.
