Dezma Jewell Martin, age 84, of Englewood, TN, passed away, Sunday night, March 24, 2013, at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was of the Baptist Faith and a daughter of the late Joshua Conway and Georgia Morton-Gibson. She is preceded in death by, her husband, James R. Martin, 1980; parents, listed above; 2 daughters, Kathy Jane Crabtree and Glenna Faye Martin; son, Steve Jerome Martin, granddaughter, Tosha Jan Martin; great-grandson, James Conner Lane; 3 sisters, Ada Mae Bryson, Alma Rhea Slack, and Cora Belle Carver; 5 brothers, Fred, Carl, Charlie, Troy, and Paul Gibson; and special sister-in-law, Anne Estelle Lipps. Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Carlene Martin of Riceville; 4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Debbie Mullinax of Englewood, Dana and Ronnie Lane of Englewood, Sandra Martin of Athens, and Vickie and Jim Crofts of Smyrna; step-daughter and spouse, Jimmie Sue and Sherman Williams of Etowah; step-son and spouse, James Buster and Charlene Martin of Etowah; daughter-in-law, Patricia Martin of Englewood; son-in-law, Tim Crabtree of Englewood; 13 grandchildren, Brandy and Jared Martin, Amber Mullinax Allen, Dustin Martin, Jason Lane, Jamie Woodeson, Tiffany and Brittany Crabtree, Teresa Robinson, Stephanie Coleman, Sean Williams and Chris and Nicky Martin; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in the South Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Lane and Rev. Doug Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., prior to the service, Tuesday. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 27th and proceed to Mars Hill Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m., committal service.
