Dillard Hicks , 73, of Etowah, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at his residence.

Preceded in death by his son, Dewight Hicks; parents, Elzie and Azeline Hicks; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elzie and June Hicks, Jr., Kenneth and Mary Gail Hicks.

He was a member of Delano Baptist Church and a Vietnam Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Wilson Hicks; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Edd Allen; sister, Robin Hicks; brother, Winston Hicks; grandsons, Caston Allen and Kamden Allen; 1 granddaughter, Cassidy Hicks; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Maxwell and Rev. Jamie Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home Sunday, September 29 ^th at 1:00 p.m.  and proceed to Love Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. committal service.
