Donald Foley Patrick, age 80, of McKinney, Texas, formerly of Etowah, Tennessee, passed away on October 14, 2014 at home from the caring arms of his family to the loving arms of the Lord.He was born on January 26, 1934 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to Azalea Foley Patrick and Harold Patrick. Don and his wife Pat shared 60 joyous years together.Don was a graduate of Etowah High School, Tennessee Wesleyan College, and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.He was Transportation Manager for major corporations throughout his career, including Temple Inland, Champion Paper and Bowater Paper.Don was a committed Christian serving in his church in various roles, including a Sunday School teacher and deacon at First Baptist Church of Conroe, Texas and First Baptist Church of Lufkin, Texas.Most recently, he was a member of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas.Donald is survived by his beloved and devoted wife Patricia Isenhower Patrick of McKinney, Texas; son David M. Patrick and his wife Debra of Tomball, Texas; daughter Donna Patrick Connell and her husband Kevin of Plano, Texas; three grandchildren, David M. Patrick, Jr. and his wife Anna of Nashville, Tennessee, John A. Patrick and his wife Josie of Spring, Texas and Kaylee Ann Connell of Plano, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Gray Andrew Patrick of Spring, Texas and Clara Elizabeth Patrick of Nashville, Tennessee; siblings, Sue McMurray of Madisonville, Tennessee and Jerry Patrick and his wife Sandra of Knoxville, Tennessee; three other sister-in-laws, Fern Patrick of Orange, California, Rebecca Patrick of Morristown, Tennessee and Mary Ann Patrick of Chattanooga, Tennessee.Donald is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Richard Patrick, Jack Patrick, and Andy Patrick.The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m., to 11:45 Thursday, October 23, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
