Donna Leamon, 43, of Etowah, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. A 1986 graduate of McMinn Central High School, she was a daughter of the late Luther L. and Nancy Cass and was preceded in death by her grandparents, Luke and Lorene Cass. Survivors include her husband, Terry Leamon of Etowah; three daughters and one son-in-law, Kaden and Mike Nazimek of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kelci Leamon and MacKenzie Leamon, both of Etowah; one grandson, Josiah Nazimek of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Mike Cass of Etowah, Junior Cass of Sweetwater, and Brian Cass of Madisonville; one sister, Susan Cass of Athens; two sisters-in-law, Crystal Leamon of Etowah, and Pam and Mikey Eaves of Riceville; her mother-in-law, Debbie Pallas of Athens; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Mark Hensley, the Rev. Franklin Melton and Dr. Jimmy McCarter officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday, and will proceed to Sunrise Cemetery for the 11 a.m. burial with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to your local VFW.
