Dorothy Ammons, 66, of Etowah, TN passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 after a brief illness at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was a member of Brookhill Baptist Church and the daughter of the late George Dockery and Frances Brumlow.

Preceded in death by her parents, listed above; sisters, Della Mae Morrow, Carol Ray and Brenda Moore

Survivors include her husband, Charles Ammons of Etowah, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Angie Burris of Woodstock, GA, Ricky and Susan Burris of Englewood, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Adam Locke of Etowah, TN; grandchildren, Justin Burris, Paige Burris, Hannah Burris, Brooke Burris, Ashlee Locke and Reagan Locke; great-grandchildren, McKinzee Veals and Peyton Perez; brothers and sisters, Dean Moates, Danny Dockery, Kathy Hill, Barbara Hicks, Linda Loos, Sharon Gottuso and Gary Brumlow.

A Graveside service will be held at11:00 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2015 at McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Josh Duncan officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
