She worked as a seamstress for Morgan Manufacturing. She was a native of Florida but had lived in Etowah for the last 43 years. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Elsie Sealey. She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; son, Jeff Barrett; two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include three sons and daughters in-law, Lee and Debbie Barrett of Spring City, TN, Sid and Bonnie Barrett of Sorrento, FL, and Alton Barrett of Warner Robins, GA; two daughters and son in-law, Sandy and Jerry Barker and Shirley Coleman all of Etowah, TN; one brother and sister in-law, Ralph and Gail Sealey of Lynn, AL; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 3, 2012, at Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kinzel Hooker officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
