Dorothy Calhoun, 88, of Etowah, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Woods Memorial Hospital. A native of McMinn County, she was a member of Cog Hill Baptist Church and was employed by Walmart. A daughter of the late Author and Sadie Studdard, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Calhoun. Survivors include one son, Roger Calhoun of Etowah; one grandson, Brandon Calhoun of Ooltewah; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, H.D. and Sheila Studdard and Herman and Anna Mae Studdard, all of McMinn County. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Hatcher officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
