Cecil "Dwayne" Newman, 87, of Etowah, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

Dwayne was a son of the late Jim and Annie Newman.

Preceded in death by his parents listed above; two sisters, Eva Sue Carroll and Wilma Dean White; brother, James C. Newman; two infant brothers; special sister-in-law, Wilva Newman; one niece, Diane Akins; nephew, Steve Newman; great-nephew, Travis Carroll.

Survived and loved by his nieces, Nancy Newman (Don), Susan Hensley (Chris), Debbie Teffteller (Ron), and Mary Newman; nephews, Michael Carroll (Gail), Tim Carroll (Kay), Greg Carroll (Janice); many special great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends, Faye Dunn and James Dockery.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Watson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mars Hill Cemetery in Englewood, TN.

No formal visitation will be held.
