Louise Peterson, 91, of Etowah, TN passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Life Care Center of Athens. She was a daughter of the late Mattie and Duffy Rouse and a member of Delano Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Peterson; and son, Brad Peterson.

Survivors include her children, Don Peterson and wife Eveleen, and Robin Peterson; grandchildren and spouses, Ken and Anglea Peterson Craig and Misty Peterson, Rusty and Cathy Peterson, Hunter Peterson, Matt and Laura McNutt; many great-grandchildren.

A devoted mother, grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She loved to work outside in her flower beds, loved to sew, she loved a challenge in doing different things. She loved to hike; she hiked to Mt. Leconte in Great Smokey Mountains. She was always willing to help anyone to make things easier for them. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Thanks to Athens Health Care for their love and support.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Green Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the cemetery.

Ken Peterson, Craig Peterson, Rusty Peterson, Matt McNutt, Hunter Peterson and Arley Fincher will serve as pallbearers.
