Earl Edward Russell, 64, of Englewood, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at Woods Memorial Hospital. A native of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Amos and Eva Russell. He worked as a block mason and was a member of New Life Ministries Church of Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Glenda Russell, Anice Cate and Pauline Hendrix. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Russell of Dunlap; one daughter, Misty Russell of Nashville; one son, Brian Russell of Florida; four sisters, Elizabeth Hester of Athens, Frances Nunley of Whiteville, Julianne Masagee of New Mexico, and Tammie Landreth of Englewood; two brothers, Hans Russell of Athens, and David Russell of Kentucky; one granddaughter, Kaylen Johnson of Dunlap; and a special nephew and niece, Gary and Thelma Givens of Englewood. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Life Ministries Church of Jesus Christ with Pastor Rickey Pryor officiating. Call 423-368-7664for directions.
