Edith Inez Newman, age 90 of Delano, TN, a native of McMinn County, TN, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Starr Regional Medical Center of Etowah. She was a member of Delano Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Horace and Pearl Harrison Williams. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Andrew Newman; her parents, listed above; step-mother, Lean Williams; and brothers, Paul and Hoyt Williams.Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Murl Hampton of Goodsprings, Rhonda Chancey of Athens, and Elaine and Harold Landers of Delano; son and daughter-in-law, Marv and Cindy Newman of Cleveland; grandchildren and spouses, Matt and Stacey Hampton, Shannon and Larry Hicks, Holly and Chip Chandler, Laurel and Jonathan Hooper, Ben and Christina Newman, Josh and Shannon Landers, and Luke and Casey Landers; great-grandchildren, Madison, Mallory, and Sydney Hampton, Jack Chandler, Emily and Andrew Newman, and Jenna Landers; sister and brother-in-law; Ruth and Albert Jenkins of Spring City; sister-in-law Alberta Williams of Delano. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. John Powers officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 and proceed to Delano Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m., committal service.
