Edna Mae Swartout Bell, 87, of Delano, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at Athens Life Care Center. She was a resident of Polk County for most of her life and was a faithful member of Delano Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Albert and Ida Mae Cass Swartout, and is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Guy Bell; her parents, listed above; a granddaughter, Erin Suzanne Bailey; brothers, Leonard, Richard, Clyde, Laverne and Hoyt Swartout and one sister, Myrtle Jenkins. Survivors include five children, Clarence and Susie Robertson of Harrison, TN, Glenn and Judy Bohannon of Athens, TN, Bill and Karen Brown of Ormond Beach, FL, Alan Bell of Cleveland, TN and Len and Janet Bell of Old Fort, TN; one sister, Elizabeth Stone of Etowah, TN; grandchildren, Donna Engeron, Cindy Gilliam, Russ Robertson, Jody Harrod, Vanessa Ball, Olivia Pullins, Seth Bohannon, Thomas Bell, Brian Bailey and Nathan Bailey; eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Minister Mark Harrod officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, March 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Russ Robertson, Seth Bohannon, Thomas Bell, Nathan Bailey, Zack Robertson and Mike Ball will serve as pallbearers. Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of the arrangements.
