Edward "Ed" Nichols Bryan, 86, of Etowah, passed away, Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Woods Memorial Hospital. A resident of Etowah, he was a son of the late Carl and Fannie Bryan, was of the Baptist faith and loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Bryan; grandson, Wendall Freeman; five brothers, Elmer, Henry, Creepy, Roy and Richard Bryan and one sister, Helen Ross.Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Geraldine Bryan of Etowah, TN; four sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Vickie Bryan of Delano, TN, Talbert Bryan, James and Joyce Bryan and Eddie and Leticia Bryan all of Etowah, TN; two daughters and son-in-law, Ronald and Joyce Bryan Barnett and Janice Sue Bryan all of Etowah, TN; one sister, Hazel Quinn of Etowah, TN; 27 grandchildren, Amy and Eby Garwood, Wyatt and Christy Freeman , Roxanne and Gerald Frazier, Rita Plemons, Trina and Steve Ingram, Debra, Katlyn, Megan, Edward "EN", and TJ Bryan, AJ and Montana McKinney, Casey Hall, Taylor, Bayleigh, Addie, and Skylor Ingram, Seth Garwood, Tanner and Abby Plemons, Madisyn and Jacksyn Frazier, Raven Robinson, Adam Hall and Wendall Bryan; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Ray Seaton.Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Blanchette and Rev. Jack Bryan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Bordwine Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m., Friday, September 14th, and proceed to Etowah Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m., committal service with military honors. Charles Bryan, Dylan Bryan, Jaron Bryan, Johnny Pellizzari, Carl Bryan, Eby Garwood and Steve Ingram will serve as pallbearers.
