Effie S. Cardin, 87, of Ten Mile, TN passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Life Care Center of Athens.

She was a Loving Mother of 2 sons and daughters-in-law, James and Mary Cardin, Ted and Cyndi Cardin; a beloved grandmother of 2 grandsons, Thad and Jack Cardin and a great-grandmother of 4 great-granddaughters; she was a fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend of many years to her loving caretaker and companion, Kathy Rains.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Wade officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Conasauga Cemetery.
