A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Glenn and Eula Trew Harris. She was a member of First Christian Church of Etowah, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilford and Melvin Harris, and one son-in-law, Hank Hearn.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jennifer Conner and Chuck and Maria Haggart; three daughters, Irene Hearn, Deborah Conner Brown and partner, Kelly Owens, and Ann Hughes and spouse, Robert; grandchildren, Jimmy and Cathy Hughes,Phillip Hughes, Mike and Sonja Hughes,Wayne and Brenda Hearn, Scott and Shonna Hearn, Kevin and Glenna Hearn, Aaron Haggart, John Scarbrough, Holly Scarbrough, Addison Haggart and Cole Haggart; great-grandchildren, Elina Hughes, Jesse Hughes, Riley Hughes, Ryan Hughes, Kellie Hughes,Hanna Hughes, Ryland Hearn, Mason Hearn, Jared Hearn, Shelby Hearn, Summer Hearn, Christy Bright, Dustin Hearn and Katie Hearn; and one great-great-grandchild, Skylar Bright.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 in the South Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Rouse officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25th and proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the 1 p.m. committal service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
