Elizabeth Helen Scoggins, 96 of Etowah, TN passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

Preceded in death by her husband, Howard Scoggins; parents, James A. and Martha Vaughn Whiteside; brothers, Robert Whiteside, Clyde Whiteside and Jack Whiteside; sisters, Grace Carmichael, Sue Goodwin and Blanche Holloman.

Survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Margie Crossley (Doyle), Peggy Scoggins, LaVerne Fox (Glenn); son and daughter-in-law, Mike Scoggins (Sharon); grandchildren, Celesta Lee, Susan Diamond, Tim Fox, David Petty, Chris Fox, Brent Scoggins, Lisa Ramsey and Julie Poteet; special nephew, Rod Carmichael; special niece, Mildred Prince; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Helen was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church for 67 years and attended the Class of Sarah Sunday School Class. She retired from Pioneer Furniture.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dennis Bordwine officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the service.  Interment will follow the service at Green Hill Cemetery.
