Elizabeth Swartout Stone, 100, of Etowah, TNpassed awayThursday, July 17, 2014at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Ida Swartout and a member of North Etowah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by herhusband, M.L. Stone; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Margaret Stone; granddaughter, Rhonda Stone; great-granddaughter, Cayci Cheek; 5 brothers, Leonard, Clyde, Richard, Hoyt and Lavern; 2 sisters, Myrtle and Edna.

Survivors include 1 daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Ann and Jerry Cheek of Etowah; grandchildren and spouses, Michael Cheek of Etowah, Donna Cheek of Etowah, Bobby and Sherry Stone Stair of Knoxville, Darin and Lisa Stone of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Laura and Hayden Cheek of Etowah; and sisters-in-law, Oletta Swartout of Etowah, Anna Mae Studdard of Etowah, Eva Jean Stone of Etowah; bothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Mary Stone of Etowah, Roy Stone of Etowah, Ray and Hazel Stone of Delano, and Parnick and Paula Stone of Knoxville.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19,2014 at Green Hill Cemetery with Bobby Stair officiating.Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon to 12:45.
