Elizabeth "Shorty" White, 94, of Athens, TN, born in Englewood TN, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Elizabeth attended First Church of God, of Athens, TN. She retired from Damy Industries.

Elizabeth loved to spoil her nieces and nephews, making sure they had anything they wanted. In her spare time, she would play bingo and she could make a delicious chocolate pie.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell "Babe" White; parents, Harrison and Ella Cook; siblings, Nancy Cook, Fred Cook, Bill Cook, Warren Cook, Dallas Cook, Johnny Cook, Lou Ella Green, Rosa Lee Campbell.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Chism officiating.

Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens, Thursday, October 24th for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
