Ellen Irene Gurley Hall, 90, of Delano, TN passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens. Daughter of the late Dave Gurley and Neppie Freeman Gurley, and she attended Fairview Baptist Church Greasy Creek. Preceded in death by her husband, Luther Adams Hall; son, Ray Hall; parents; and nine brothers.

Ellen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. She enjoyed her garden and had a kind word for everyone she met. She was truly a lady with a big heart.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Stella and Acie Key of Delano, TN, Missy and Mel Taylor of Delano, TN; 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Henry and Sharon Hall of Dalton, GA, Clifford and Jeanie Hall of Delano, TN, Winfred Hall of Delano, TN, Wade and Ramona Hall of Cleveland, TN; daughter-in-law, Pat Hall of Etowah, TN; brother, Omer Gurley of Chattanooga, TN; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Mason officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Greasy Creek Cemetery, Thursday, July 10, 2014 for the 10:00 a.m., committal service.
