Eric Timothy "Tim" Newberry, Sr., 79, of Etowah, TN, passed away from his battle with ALS on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

Tim retired from Huber after 30 years as an Instrument Mechanic. He was a 1962 graduate of Etowah High School. He was a loving and kind husband, father, and grandfather. His retirement job was being papaw and fishing guide to Hope and Abby.

He is preceded in death by parents, Irene and Ed Newberry; brother, Steve Newberry; sister, Marilyn Sparks; grandson, Braden Kyle Newberry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61years, Genelle Newberry; son and daughter-in-law, Eric Newberry, Jr. and Dana Newberry; granddaughters, Hope Newberry and Abby Newberry and fiancé, Isaac Hill; brother, John Edward Newberry Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Mike Pannell; several nieces and nephews and extended family members.

The family would like to thank Valerie with Hearth Hospice for her kind care.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023 in New Bethel Cemetery.

No formal visitation will be held.
