Obituary

Ersie Mae Reno Greene Martin, 77, of Englewood, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at her residence. A native of McMinn County and a resident of Englewood for the past five years, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Beulah Reno. She was a member of Dixon Avenue Baptist Church, had worked as a seamstress in many sewing factories and retired from Plastic Industries . She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold A. Greene; three brothers, Elmer Reno, Paul Reno, and Glenn Reno; and one sister, Thelma Crawford.

Survivors include her husband, Hoyt D. Martin of Englewood; three children, Bobby A. Greene and wife Christine Greene of Riceville, Barry Greene of Riceville, and special friend Connie Hagood of Cleveland, and Gale Corvin of Riceville; step-children, Greg McClusky of Cleveland, Dana and Janelle Martin of Cleveland, Taudy and Shawn Laney of Polk County and Polly and Dennis Harris of Athens; 12 grandchildren, Brandi Kidd of KY, Ryan Greene of Riceville, Jeni Jent of Athens, Bobbie Jo Henry of FL, Justin Greene of Huntsville, AL, Todd Corvin USN stationed at Kingsbay, GA, Ryan Martin of Athens, Amanda Lipscomd of VA, Daniel Martin of Cleveland, Dillion, Brianna and Collin Laney all of Polk Co., and Cody Reagan of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Regan Jent, Kylie Henry, John Parker Corvin and Serenity Lipscomd; two brothers, J.E. Reno and wife Frances of Cleveland, and Hancel Reno and wife Mary of Athens; sister-in-law, Ethel Reno of Englewood, and several nieces and nephew.

Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010 in the South Chapel with the Rev. Allen Watson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday, September 27th and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11 a.m. committal service. Justin Greene, Todd Corvin, Ryan Greene, Jim Greene, Ryan Martin and Ray Wilson will serve as pallbearers.
