Ethelene Culpepper Harbison, 93, of Delano, passed away, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Etowah Health Care Center in Etowah, TN. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Wetmore Baptist Church faithfully until poor health prevented her from doing so. A daughter of the late Dolph and Maude Kilpatrick Culpepper of Delano, she was preceded in death by her husband, Avery L. Harbison, Sr. of Delano; her parents, listed above; son, Avery L. Harbison, Jr. of Athens; three sisters, Ruth Culpepper Brown, Dora Mae Culpepper, and Mary Culpepper Green all of Delano; three brothers, Fred "Foney" Culpepper, Frank Culpepper, both of Delano and Lewis "Cy" Culpepper of Benton; and special friends and sister-in-law, Maxine Harbison Nichols of Delano. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cissy and Kendall Adams of Reliance, TN and Linda and Ed Adams of Delano, TN; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mike and Julie Harbison of Cleveland, TN and Rusty Harbison of Benton, TN; three grandchildren and spouses, Dana Harbison and Jack Thomas of Elko, NV, Erin Harbison and Matt Clifft of Fort Worth TX, and Eric Harbison of Cleveland, TN; two great-grandchildren, Amy Griego and Avery Thomas of Elko, NV; and one great-great grandchild, Orion Griego of Elko, NV. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Etowah Health Care Center for the wonderful care given to our mother during her stay. A special thank you to CNA's Kim Willis, Jessica Jacobs and Barbara Dunstan and to food services.Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Wetmore Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Earl officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Green Hill Cemetery Friday, January 17, 2014 for the 11:00 a.m., committal service.
