Eva Grace Evans, 79, of Walland, and formerly of Etowah, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. A native of McMinn County and a resident of Cleveland, Ohio, for 40 years, she spent the last 20 years in Blount County. She was a graduate of Etowah High School and she was a daughter of the late William and Vida Mae White Rucker. She was preceded in death by one brother, William Rucker Jr.; and one half-brother, Tommy Rucker. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Jimmie Evans of Walland; one son, James Evans of Walland; one daughter and son-in-law, Bobbe Ann and Roderick Gray of Dayton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Laura and Lisa Gray; and one half-sister, Patricia Rucker of Delano. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Duane Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in Conasauga Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
