Eva Joyce Sloan, 57,of Benton,passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Starr Regional Medical Center of Etowah. She was the daughter of the late Spence Lee "Jeff" Burke and Bessie Lou "Parrott" Grant Raper. Preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Raymond Raper; father, Curtis Grant.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Angie and Terry Chandler of Athens, Jennifer Daugherty of McMinn County, Jason and Amber Webb of Athens; siblings and spouses, Tony and Georgean Grant of Phoenix, AZ, Mike and Brenda Grant of Cleveland, TN, Elizabeth "Susie" and Wayne Cardin of Riceville, TN, Shirley Horn of Etowah, Danny Moates, Jerry Moates, Donnie Moates and Nancy Younce; partner in life, Donnie Webb; grandchildren, Carson and Lauren Black, Morgan and Miami Chandler, Bryson and Marlee Webb; Aunt, Essie and Jack Sams; uncle, James and Jan Parrott; nieces and nephews, Jason and Amanda Horn and children, Caleb and Jared, Richard and Tiffany Cardin, Jacky and Wendy Cook and children, Austin, Dylan, Koby and Henry, Brian and Jeff Grant, Curtis Grant, Corinna and Harry Bowles, Austin and Andy Cardin; special friend, Ms. June Kimmins; many more loving and caring friends.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014in the South Chapel, of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Vest officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home and proceed to Liberty Hill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m., committal service. Donnie Webb, Terry Chandler, Richard Cardin, Jacky Cook, Aaron Daugherty, Jason Horn, Tony Grant and Kasey Davis will serve as pallbearers. Carson Black will serve as honorary pallbearer. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up for the family; donations may be made to Angie Chandler, 422 Gettys Lane, Athens, TN 37303.
