Evelene “Tennie” Fetzer, 92, of Etowah, TN passed away peacefully Saturday, November 7, 2026.

She grew up in the Wetmore community of Delano, TN and was a proud graduate of Polk County High School, Class of 1952. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she always looked forward to attending church. She was a longtime and faithful member of North Etowah Baptist Church, where she found joy in worship and fellowship with her church family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilburn Fetzer; her parents, Henry and Jessie Mae Johnson; grandson, Braden Michael Fetzer; brothers, Herman and Clint Johnson; sister, Bethelene Call.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Fetzer and Steve Fetzer; grandchildren and spouses, Lacy Fetzer Garcia and Carlos, Kelsie Fetzer Downs and Jake; great-grandchildren, Kendall Fetzer, Kasslyn Navarro, Caydence Fetzer, and Alanna Downs.

A graveside service will be held at Green Hill Cemetery Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Justin Worden officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Spirit City North Etowah to benefit the library ministry, 231 Pennsylvania Avenue, Etowah, TN 37331.
