Obituary

Evelyn Faye Cantrell Chambers, 56, of Englewood, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of Arietta Letha Cantrell and the late Ollie Reed Cantrell. She was employed by the McMinn County Finance Department. Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Lyle Chambers of Niota; one daughter, Julie Moore; one granddaughter, Bailey Moore; her mother, Arietta Letha Cantrell; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lola and Craig Spurling, Marie and Barry Pitsker, Margaret and Foster Bohannon and Vickie and David Stiles; three brothers and one sister-in-law, David and Donna Cantrell, Steve Cantrell and Jimmie Cantrell; one niece, Elizabeth Stiles; four nephews and two spouses, Mitchel and Cindy Bohannon, Benjamin Cantrell, Nicholas and Cassie Cantrell and Eric Stiles. A memorial service will be 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Vest officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Faye Forgety, 120 County Rd. 447, Athens, TN 37303; or to the National Kidney Foundation, 4450 Walker Blvd., Suite 2, Knoxville, TN 37917-1523.
