F.G. (Gordon) Morgan age 81 of Englewood, TN passed away July 29, 2017 at his residence after a 3 year illness with Parkinson's Disease. He was the son of the late R.D. and Grace Benson Morgan. He was preceded in death by parents; and sister Pat Coleman. He was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church of Englewod. He joined the U.S. Army when he was 18 and was a paratrooper making 14 jumps. He was an engineer for CSX Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 1998. He was a avid hunter, fisherman and he and his wife loved to travel with their friends in their motorhome.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Shirley Morgan of Englewood, TN; 3 sons, Rick and Beverly of Newport, TN, Tim and Jill of Newport, TN, and Mark and Melissa of Englewood, TN, sister, Joyce Johnson; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Travis Barnett officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the funeral home and proceed to Sunrise Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service. Boyd Davis, Robby Davis, Wayne Goodman, Walker Dunsmore, William Barnett, and Tom Blanford will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Larry Duggan. Family ask for memorials to be made out to Wildwood Baptist Church AWANA program, 1045 Hwy. 39E, Englewood, TN 37329.
