Florence J. Duckett, 102 of Etowah, TN passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her residence. A daughter of the late Arthur and Georgia Parrott. She was the oldest member of Calvary Baptist Church of Etowah.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jim Duckett; son, Clarence McAllister; daughter, Imogene Brunk; sons-in-law, Carl Reese and Laddie Clayton. She leaves behind her loving children and their spouses, Wanda and E.W. Cooley, Joyce and Charlie Smith, Mary Clayton, Margaret and Ralph Bates; daughter-in-law, Lilly McAllister; son-in-law, Gary Brunk; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; very special friends, Reba Curtis and Joan Kirkland; and special Dr., Nathan Trentham.

She was a strong woman who had a passion for helping others. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Blanchette and Dr. Gerald Atkins officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble Friday, February 2nd at Coghill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service. Mike Cooley, Greg Clayton, Jeff Reese, Brad Bates, Chris Bates and Darrell King will serve as pallbearers.
