Fred Harrison, Jr., 88, of Etowah, TN passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018.

He was a resident of Etowah, TN since 1971 and a native of Vonore, TN. He was a son of the late Fred and Blanche Harrison.

He served in the Korean War; owned and operated his own heating and air conditioning, electrical and plumbing business for 35 years.

Preceded in death by; his daughter, Betty White; 4 brothers, Niles, Jim, Birch and Pete; two sisters, Mildred Walters and Martha Ann Summitt.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Virginia Whitehead Harrison; Son, Rex Harrison of Double Springs, AL; grandson, Dustin Rymer of McMinnville, TN; two granddaughters, Katie Harrison Libera (Danny) of Huntsville, AL, Leslie Harrison Hicks( Scott) of Birmingham, AL; one great-granddaughter, Lillian Saige Libera; and one great-grandson, Harrison Victor Libera of Huntsville, AL

Fred loved hunting, fishing, all sports; and getting together with his family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday August 17, 2018 at North Etowah Baptist Church, 231 PA Ave., Etowah, Tn 37331 with Rev. George Whitten of Athens, AL and Rev. Mark Wade officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.

Family and friends will assemble at Green Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, 1820 US Hwy 411, Etowah, TN 37331, Saturday, August 18th for the 11:00 a.m. Entombment.

Honorary Pallbearers: Dale West, Rual Watson, Tom Joines, Glenn Sisson, Herbert Williams, Ray Whitehead and Earl Whitehead will serve as honorary pallbearers.
