Gary Rose, 70, of Delano, TN, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 12, 2024 in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, O'Dean and Virginia Rose of Reliance, TN; sister, Martina Rose of Reliance, TN; brother, Terry Rose of Etowah, TN.

Gary was born September 19,1953 in Etowah, TN. In August of 1975, he married Cleda Poteet Rose. Gary worked with Jim Lewis at Lewis concrete for many years where he earned the nickname "Swamper." He then owned his own business, Rose Stone and Concrete. His last employment was driving a truck for M&C out of Athens, TN, known as "Lightfoot." He was a man of many talents. He was a song writer and musician. His passion was his music. Gary was a dedicated family man who loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Cleda Poteet Rose; children and spouses, Jeremy and Alicia Rose, Robert Rose, Brittany and Casey Crittenden, and Jason Rose; grandchildren and spouses, Christian and Stephanie Rose, Zachary and Alyssa Rose, Brent Moody, Taylor and Matthew Alexander, Dison Rose, Ava Rose, Daemon and Hailey Palmer, Braylee Palmer, Chevy Ezell, and Grayson Rose; great-grandchildren, Jaxtyn Goines, Remmi Alexander, and Tyler James Palmer.

Daemon Palmer, Zachary Rose, Terry Rose, Mitch Santiago, Matthew Alexander and Stephanie Rose will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are Gregg Martin, Casey Crittenden and Bobby Poteet.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2024 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17th at the funeral home and proceed to Delano Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
