Gary Ronald Watson, 69, a resident of Etowah Health Care Center, passed away at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens, TN on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

He was the son of the late Hubert and Willie Blankenship Watson.

Preceded in death by his sisters, Cynthia "Cindy" Curry, Mary Lou Carter, and infant sister, Jeraldine Watson; brother, Reece Watson.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill and Christy Watson, and David Watson; grandchildren, Casey Watson, Lucas Watson, Anthony Watson, Tyler Watson and Lillie Watson; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Maxine and Marion Patton of Ten Mile, Kathleen and Jimmy Cole of Englewood, Carolyn Scoggins of Etowah and Barbara and Kent Wilson of Athens; several nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Blankenship officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 11th at the funeral home and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
