Gayna "Joanne" Williams, 74, of Etowah, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at Woods Memorial Hospital. A native of Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Ledford. She was a member of Dixon Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Mark Ratcliff of Jacksonville, Fla., and Sandra and James Cate of Athens; seven grandchildren, Tosha Stinnett, Christopher Cate, Ashley Cate, Joshua Boatman, Keia Coenen, Jennifer Ratcliff and Meghan Ratcliff; six great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and Harold Casteel, Betty and Leonard Ingram and Charlotte and Larry Choat; one brother, David Ledford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. James Mason and the Rev. Allan Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Cochran Cemetery with family members serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
