Gaynell LaVerne Webb Johnson Dunn, 86, of the Goodsprings community, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at her residence. A native of McMinn County, she was retired from the McMinn County Court Clerk's Office. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. A daughter of the late James and Nettye Webb, she was a member of Goodsprings Baptist Church, where she was active with WMU, choir, was a Sunday school teacher and a GA leader's helper. She also sponsored a child for many years from the Baptist Children's Home in Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by her first husband, T.L. Johnson; one grandson, Ashley Martin; two brothers, Charles Newton Webb and Lyndall "Fuzz" Webb; one uncle and aunt, Bob and Nellie Whiteside; and one niece, Charlene Bradley. Survivors include her husband, Tony Dunn of Etowah; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Eddy Woody of Athens, and Ann and Mike Butler of Ringgold, Ga.; four grandchildren, Tony Martin of Knoxville, and Justin and Clay Butler and Katie Butler Charlesworth, all of Ringgold, Ga.; seven great-grandchildren, five nieces and their spouses, Peggy and Jack Alley, Kelly and Winston Burbage, Pat Webb, Linda and David Brady and Wendy King, all of Knoxville; and three special friends, Wanda Starkey, Geneva Curtis and Peggy Fincher. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Jason Fincher officiating. Burial will follow in Goodsprings Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her two sons-in-law, Eddy Woody and Mike Butler, and grandsons, Tony Martin, Justin Butler, Clay Butler and Brian Charlesworth. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Goodsprings Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
