Gene “Geno” Newman, 59, of Etowah, TN passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Gene spent at least 40 years working and installing hardwood flooring all over the county and surrounding counties.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Betty Newman; brother, Bill Newman; sister, Ruth Ann Newman.

Survivors include his brothers and sister-in-law, Dean Newman, Gerald and Terri Newman; sister-in-law, Becky Newman; special nephew, Jake Newman; special children, Carly and Kaitlyn Cooper, Kira Locke; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2026, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service.
