Geneva Watson Merrell, age88of Englewood, TN,passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016, at her brother's residence. She was thedaughter of the late Charlie and Ethel Trotter Watson. Geneva was a member of Athens Church of Christ and was preceded in deathby her parents listed above, husband A.R. "Bud" Merrell, and 8 brothers and sisters. She was a homemaker that loved working in her flowers and enjoyed her friends.

Survivors include her sonand daughter in-law,Mike and Cherrie Merrell of Tellico;several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister and brother in-law,Vesta and Carl Melton of Athens; brother and sister-in-law,Armond and Linda Watson of Englewood and ahost of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.Minister Mark Littleton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.Family and friends will assemble Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Highland Memorial Park in Knoxville for the 1:00 p.m., committal service.
