George "G. W." Webb, age 85 of Etowah, TN, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens. He retired from J.M. Huber and was a son of the late Lake and Betty Webb.

Preceded in Death by his parents Lake and Betty Webb; daughters, Deborah Webb and Janice Webb Newman; brothers, Edward and Fletus Webb; sisters, Leota Parrott and Marie Shugart

Survived by his wife of 64 years, Ovaline Webb; granddaughter, Tabatha Atkins;Grandson-in-law, Brad Atkins; great-granddaughters, Jennifer Nicole Atkins and Meadow Brook Atkins; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Scott Campbell and Rev. Oran Creasman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service. Interment will follow the service to Goodsprings Cemetery. Jerry Williams, Claude Parson, Jerome Bryan, Lewis Bryan, Tommy Burris and Charles Smith will serve as pallbearers.
