A native of Polk County and resident of Etowah most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Arretta Fair Simonds. She was a member of the Church on the Rock. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Headrick; her second husband, Jack McConnell; one brother, Dewey Simonds; and one sister, Ailene Russell.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Daril and Bernice Headrick of Tellico Plains, and Stanley and Carolyn Headrick of Etowah; three grandchildren, Lorran Headrick, William Mace Headrick and Eddie Headrick; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Simonds and Billy Bivens; one sister, Imogene Hill; and a special niece, Shelly Hehir.

Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16th in the South Chapel with the Rev. Leon Devine officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Wednesday and proceed to Sunrise Cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
