Harold J. Smith passed away on November 10, 2018 at the age of 81 years.

A native of Etowah, Harold attended Tennessee Wesleyan College at Athens, TN and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Harold honorably served active duty in the U.S. Air Force in San Francisco, CA and later moved to Florida working as a Quality Control Manager and retiring from a Civil Service Position with the Jacksonville Naval Air Station.

Harold was a member of numerous Masonic organizations, including the Morocco Shriners, the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Florida, York Rite of Free Masonry, The Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and a member of the Clay County Shrine Club.

He is survived by his children, Karen Gibson and Anthony "Tony" Smith; son-in-law, Robert Gibson; daughter-in-law, Tammy Smith; grandson, Zachary Gibson; and granddaughter, Jordan Smith.

A Masonic Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17th in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with funeral service to follow. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon prior to the service. A private interment will follow the service in Green Hill Cemetery.
