Henry "Curtis" Duckett, age 81, of Delano, TN, passed away peacefully after a short illness, Friday, April 20, 2012 at Woods Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late Henry and Ann Duckett and was a charter member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Calhoun, TN. He was a resident of Delano for much of his life and was retired from Etowah City. Preceded in death by his 1st wife, Reba Hamby Duckett; parents, listed above; a sister Geraldine Hammons; and 3 children, Ralph Edward, Curtis Lebron, and Rachel Curtis Duckett. Survivors include, wife, Hazel Blankenship Duckett of Delano, TN; 2 daughters, Sarah Duckett Sprague and Fiance', Bruce McMinn of Englewood, TN and Annette Bright of GA; 3 sons, Ronnie Ricky, and Rodney Duckett all of GA; one special grandson, Anthony Sprague of Englewood, TN; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Angelee Blankenship of Englewood, TN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Delano Cemetery with Pastor Russ Maples officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2012 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
