Hilda Rhea Martin Lawhorne, 81, of Etowah, passed away, Friday, September 19, 2025.

In her spare time, Hilda enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching her favorite television shows. She absolutely loved and adored her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband Garnett Lawhorne; father, Luther Martin; mother, Tennie Armstrong Martin; brother, James William Martin; sister, Joy Tilley; sister, Maxine Stewart; grandsons, Shane Standrige and Christopher Standridge.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Judi Trew, Billy and Debbie Lawhorne, Alan Lawhorne; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Gary Standridge, Robin and Dirk Standridge; grandchildren and spouses, Jeremy Trew, Taylor and Haylee Trew, Natsha and Scott Cargine, Barry and Tonya Williams, April Welch, Amy Wright, Dale Lawhorne, Crystal and Brandon Shelton, Justin and Tiffany Standridge, Shawn and China Standridge, Brandy and Jonathan Blair; several great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Mangrum; nephews, Danny Stewart, Brian Mangrum, Tim Tilley.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble in McMinn Memory Gardens Thursday, September 25th for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

Jeremy Trew, Taylor Trew, Billy Lawhorne, Scott Gay, Robert Bookout, and Shawn Standridge will serve as pallbearers.
